Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Hi there! I’m Bref McHugh. I was born in England and grew up since I was seven, in Ireland. In my early twenties, as part of my adventures and wanderlust, I traveled to the US. A summer turned into the rest of my life…so far.

Today, I live in sunny Florida (Yes, I wear sunblock every day :), I am blessed to have a beautiful wife, and life partner, plus two amazing young boys.

I’m an absolute soccer junkie, self-confessed, growth-obsessed entrepreneur, and visionary business builder. As the co-owner of ClinicGrower, I spearhead the leading Growth Marketing agency for medical and aesthetic practices in America.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Since I was little, my parents instilled in me a growth mindset and work ethic. From ages 7 to 17, I wrote fantasy stories while I worked at my parents’ grocery store back home in Ireland. As I grew older in my early teens my interest and intrigue with the world of business also grew. The lessons I learned watching my parents handle a business with such care still drive me today. It was rewarding and stressful at times, and it gave me the ingredients to start my career.

I came to the United States in my early 20s with nothing to my name except a mattress and a point to prove. I had always been interested in marketing, so I spent my college years in Ireland studying marketing and management. In the U.S., I worked my way up through different marketing roles, cutting my teeth in advertising and eventually landing a national sales position managing millions in advertising dollars.

I realized I wasn’t reaching my full potential or utilizing all of my skill sets. So, I started a research project in 2015, which eventually turned into a business in 2017. I began reaching out to different clinics to see how I could help practices grow, and I discovered such a need there. Busy practices were focused on transforming their clients’ lives but didn’t have the resources, time, or strategy to build their brand and client base.

I’ve also been known to like a good detour. Back in 2010, I quit my corporate life to travel the world with my wife. We backpacked across India and South America during which time I was able to satisfy my journalistic and story-telling itch by writing my travel blog at that time.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Today, I love my nonfiction. I am a big fan of Tim S. Grover, Jeb Blount, and Napoleon Hill. My writings are inspired by the people I work with, the people I serve, and the hard-working entrepreneurs across the world.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I am thrilled to have written my first book, alongside my co-author and business partner. “Seductive Digital Marketing & Sales For Aesthetic Practices” is not just a book; it’s a journey into the heart of modern digital marketing strategies tailored specifically for the aesthetic industry. It took me almost exactly one year to write my first book. Between work, life, family, and my constant revisions before I said good is good enough..it took a few minutes longer than I expected! The second will be better/ easier I’m sure!

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I loved to read a lot. I read different books, starting with children’s books, then books about the Wild West, and novels by famous writers, such as Victor Hugo and Leo Tolstoy. It even happened to me that I read some novels two or more times, first in my early youth, and then after a few years, when due to experience it left a different impression. At that time, I had no idea that I would later write books myself, but everything was based on my great love for reading.
Since I spent years investing in my education, I read many books on economics, international economic relations, finance, law, etc. After all, it is not surprising that I started writing books in the business and finance genre.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My first works, articles, and books are related to my education and professional training in economics. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics and postgraduate studies, with a master’s and doctorate, in economics. As a doctor of economic sciences, I wrote scientific and professional papers in economics, which I published in domestic and international journals (over 70 papers).
When it comes to what influences my writing the most, it is books. If I had to single out one contemporary writer, it is Paulo Coelho who symbolizes the phenomenon of success with his work.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
This year I published my new book titled THE UNUSUAL STORY.
THE UNUSUAL STOEY is a collection of short stories and articles about creativity and life’s paradoxes. The articles talk about creativity in the form of creative writing, covering topics, from inspiration to financial independence. The short stories are based on true events from real life which is full of twists and turns. In them, facts and feelings intertwine.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’m a sinner saved by grace who seeks to glorify God with my words. I’m also a homeschool graduate and hold a degree in accounting. When I’m not writing, I’m spending time with my husband, reading, editing, cooking, cleaning, arm wrestling, and lifting weights. I don’t currently have any pets, but I’m hoping to get a couple of cats in the near future.

As far as writing goes, I like to switch genres (even though “they” say it’s bad for marketing). All my books are Christian fiction, but within that broad genre, I’ve written some historicals, some romantic suspense books, some dystopian novels, and a couple of non-magical fantasy novellas. I’m currently drafting a romantic suspense novel about a woman whose memory was erased.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
When I was a little kid, my mom read tons of books to me. That led to a love of reading. And that led to a love of writing. I started writing in 2017, and I’m still going strong.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Some of my favorite authors to read are Susan May Warren, Madisyn Carlin, Vanessa Hall, Patricia Bradley, and many more. My favorite genre to read would have to be Christian romantic suspense, but I also enjoy historicals, contemporary novels, and fantasy stories. Basically, if it’s a clean, well-written book with relatable characters and an engaging, exciting plot, I’m most likely going to enjoy it.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is Heart of Trust, a Christian historical romance novella that’s the first in the multi-author series Hearts of the West. It follows the adventures of a married couple as they move out West, purchase a ranch, and find out they’ve run afoul of two cattle barons. It’s got faith, action, wholesome romance, high stakes, powerful villains, and a happy ending.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was in the late fifties and went to school in Derby England, manly in midstream education. It was a lack of concentration that made me lose my place at a top grammar school. I still live in Derby where I started my own business as a self employed plumber installing central heating systems moving into building and property development creating a portfolio of property rentals. I do not have any pets at the moment but have had dogs and birds in the past.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started writing manuscripts on a variety of different subjects that have not been published after school. I did not start writing books until 2021 and had my first book published April 2022.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I have not read a novel as I was more interested in nature and referred to reference books on different animals and their environments. My early days would be spent walking in the countryside with friends seeing nature thriving around us. I still enjoy going out and getting as close to nature as I can. I have never read any fiction books and do not affiliate my writing with any other author and do not mimic the style of any. I try to make my books exciting to read and entertaining for the reader.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
I have two books currently in the worldwide market True Love Unlimited and True Love Unlimited The Conclusion. The latest book True Love Unlimited The Conclusion has won a gold prize for its genre Romance, Action, Thriller from Chick Lit Café. These books follow Jasmin and Mateo’s exciting journey across Europe as they run from different government forces that are after a chip containing critical laser information that Mateo invented. Their relationship blossoms during their perilous journey. It took me about 40days to write the first book but it did take a bit longer for the second book due to other commitments.

A Day in the Life book one in my apocalyptic series. Where did it come from? I don’t know. Did I plan it? No. Did it write itself? Pretty much. Am I happy with it? Hell yeah.

Stephen King, George R R Martin, J K Rowling, Thomas Harris,Suzanne Collins. I loved to get whisked away into another world. The best books were the ones I couldn’t put down. There really is something special about keeping the reader guessing.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book is The Day After. The sequel to my first book A Day in the Life. The series is about family. In this world everyone has mysteriously vanished. It is about the family trying to survive in a world that wants them dead. I can’t say too much as it would give away the secrets that you need to discover. It was written in a month. It doesn’t always happen like that. I have two unreleased novels that took a year each to write. This one kicks their ass. It’s like writing a good song. When it happens it’s as easy as eating your favourite pie. Quick and delicious.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Tim Wright. I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota but have lived in Glendale (Phoenix), Arizona since 1984. My wife, Jan and I, have been married since 1979. We have two adult children, five grandchildren, and two dachshunds. I enjoy traveling, riding my recumbent bike, Disneyland, reading, especially Fantasy Adventures and British Mysteries, and being a grandpa. I am also a long-suffering fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals, having watched my two teams lose a combined 5 Super Bowls.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I’ve been writing since I was a kid. In third grade we had a school-wide play writing contest and the play I wrote, John and the Ogre, took first place for our grade. We had the chance to perform it in front of the whole school. I discovered way back then that I enjoy the creative, imaginative process.

The first books I wrote grew out of my work as a Lutheran pastor. The books were more information/strategy oriented, but I always tried to write as creatively as I could, using stories and humor to unlock the imaginations of my readers.

I only started writing my middle-school fantasy adventure series a few years ago. It’s always been something I wanted to do, and finally, having grandkids, I felt the push to go for it. It was and is such a joy, thrill, and an adventure in and of itself to see where the story will take me. While I’ve been fortunate so far (two books published, the third soon to be released and the first draft for the fourth completed) in that I’ve yet to hit any writer’s block, there are probably some things I’d go back and fix in book 1 now that I know where the story is going. But that’s the challenge, I’m guessing, with any series. The first book lays the groundwork. The rest of the books build on that groundwork, and, at times, can be a bit constricted by them. The tongue-in-cheek style of this series offers me a lot of freedom to make a course correction or two without totally losing the storyline of book 1.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I didn’t discover the joy of fantasy adventures until I was in college. In 11th grade we were assigned The Hobbit, but for some reason it didn’t capture my attention. But the Hobbit bug caught me after High school and I couldn’t get enough of Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, Sam, and Middle Earth. I moved on to the Shannara Chronicles (Terry Brooks), the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant (Stephen Donaldson), The Chronicles of Narnia (C.S. Lewis), and a host of other fantasy books that didn’t include Chronicles in the name—including, of course, Harry Potter. These writers wrote with such wonder. Their character and world-building, and the joy of their stories, are so compelling and memorable. Their ability to put words together in interesting and new ways held my attention.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The series is called: The Adventures of Toby Baxter. In book 1: The River Elf, the Giant, and the Closet, 13-year-old Toby Baxter is summoned to a strange land through his closet to assist the river elves in their battle against the trolls. Toby is a reluctant HERO, and as will be the case in each of his adventures, he will be challenged and stretched to discover who he is and his place in the world.

Book 2: RiverHome for the Holidays, has Toby back in RiverHome for a rematch with his archnemesis from book 1, the troll leader Clygon. Will Toby give in to his fears and doubts, or will he be WISE as he moves deeper into his Quest to save RiverHome?

Book 3: Aloha RiverHome: The GOOD Prophecy, sees Toby back in RiverHome. This time around old enemies must become allies to overcome the threat to the land. An ancient prophecy compels Toby and Clygon to find the GOOD in order to rebuild the Sword that protects RiverHome. During the Quest Toby stumbles into a brewing civil war among the giants, finds himself tempted in Para-dies by a sly serpent, and must battle stalagmites, stalactites, and continuous homonyms. The book should be out Mid-May of 2024.

Maleena Imbeah was born in Ghana, West Africa. She was educated at Achimota School in Accra and then at the University of Ghana, Legon. She then went overseas for postgraduate studies. After her studies, she lived and worked in different countries for over forty years.

Maleena self-published her first children’s book, Akos Moves Back to Africa in 2015, in paperback format. She had previously self-published a Ghanaian language book Let’s Speak Fanti in 2014, in paperback and audio formats. Both of her books are selling on Amazon. She also self-published a memoir about her 40 years of travels, in 2016, to share her experiences with family and friends.

On her retirement in 2018, she returned home to Ghana where she lives with her husband. They have two adult daughters. Maleena has since resumed writing and has also taken up gardening and fish farming as hobbies.
