Author Bio:
David was born in Illinois and grew up in Indiana. When he was twenty years old, he moved to Oregon, where he spent most of his adult life along the North Oregon coast. This is where he was introduced to learning how to frame and remodel houses. He became a drywall hanging/finisher guru, maintenance mechanic, and engaged in lots of surfing. Throughout David’s life, he has ha the opportunity to experience many things, good and bad. One of these experiences was becoming a wino. He is no longer a practicing wino and considers stopping this lifestyle as one of his greatest accomplishments. David began playing the guitar at a young age. He has played in many different rock bands. He has recorded and released six independent solo albums under the name Elbridge Fletcher. The first two albums are acoustic instrumental fingerstyle guitar albums, while the next four are singer/song-writer albums. He has been attracted to spirituality his entire life and tried many different religions. He is currently a practicing Buddhist and is interested in old Celtic religions.
During the writing of this book, he was working as a substance use disorder counselor at an in- patient treatment facility, while going to college to earn a degree. David is currently taking a break
from being a counselor and attending college to focus on getting his book published and promoting
it. Nowadays, when he isn’t working on writing,he can be found living in Central Washington State pulling weeds out of his garden. He also enjoys hanging out with his wife and two great dogs, do-
ing lots of exercises, and practicing daily mindfulness.
