“422: Scandalous” by Danny Range
At eighteen, Bruno Marchesi moved from Warren, Ohio where he was raised, leaving behind haunting memories of his deep involvement with organized crime. His family was notorious for running the Italian mafia in the small town, which is just outside of one of America’s original mafia strongholds, Youngstown, Ohio. That same family begged Bruno to leave home, get an education, and live an actual life. So, he did.
Five years later, Bruno was well on his way to achieving his lifelong dream of becoming a multi-millionaire entrepreneur who gave to his future children the chaos-free life he never got to experience. With perfect grades in an MBA program, elite networking skills, and unlimited motivation, Bruno was seen as a true prodigy in the corporate world. He’d ripped through the ranks of business at a rate the world had never seen.
But Bruno writes this story in first person while hiding in a dirty motel room, claiming that the police are on their way to slap the cuffs on him and put him in prison. What happened? Why did Bruno throw away his lifelong dreams? Where did it all go wrong? In the tradition of Joker and The Sopranos, Danny Range’s riveting novel is an intense, ominous, and powerful work of art that shares an all-important, cautionary message for those struggling with mental illness. It’s also an inside look at what it’s like to live with the sickness.

Author Bio:
Danny Range is an author, actor, MBA, and a public speaker who was proudly born and raised in Warren, Ohio. He is also a survivor of suicidal urges and depression. Born of two parents in their late teens, Danny recalls moving from home to home with his mother throughout his childhood. Also, how he lived in a roach-covered apartment while working two jobs and participating in college classes full-time. Danny credits his humble beginnings for creating the unheard-of ambition that built his brand. It’s a work ethic that’s been called “insane” and “unbelievable” by his peers, as he regularly works more than seventy hours a week and took only one vacation from 2016-2020. Despite the busy schedule, Danny prides himself on finding time to be a family man and close friend to many.
Danny’s dream is to leave behind a legacy in the film industry as an actor and a writer. He plans to use the profits from it to invest in stock and his own business ideas, which would create a fortune that allows him to take care of his future family and donate to the economy and school systems in his hometown. As a man who, in his early life, was called a “hood rat” and a “low-life” amongst many other derogatory terms, Danny is proud to now be known as a workhorse and a leader. Danny strives to be a reminder to the world that anything is possible if you believe in yourself. Also, that those diagnosed with mental health disorders can still find a way to live a fulfilling, happy life.
