Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada on a small farm. I emigrated to the United
States in 1984 to marry my wife in Janesville, Wisconsin, where I now reside. Our dog Osho is
half chow and half lab and can go anywhere and do anything. Osho went to the top of Pikes Peak
on a train a couple of years ago. I love the outdoors and was a wilderness recreation mapper
for the British Columbia Forest Service in the 1970’s and later published outdoor maps and guidebooks.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started reading when I was five years old and never stopped. I particularly liked action and adventure books which stimulated my imagination and led me to a varied life following my dreams
and interests. Writing always came easily to me and I began writing professionally for a daily
newspapers in the 1970’s, later doing freelance writing and publishing outdoor recreation maps
and guidebooks. ‘Eye of the Hurricane 1’ is my first novel at age 62. Better late than never.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Now I mostly read non-fiction, particularly biographies and books about the outdoors.
There are many authors I am a fan of including Jack Kerouac, Ian Fleming and Edward
Abbey.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
‘Eye of the Hurricane 1’ an ebook available on Amazon, Nook, Ibooks, Kobo
A news junkie saves lives and property from global warming, conceiving and building the world’s first Supercavitation Nuclear
Research Submarine. Eye of the Hurricane 1 plunges into the eye of Hurricane Rage and solves the greatest mystery in the history of aviation, the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370. Crewed by a dream team of ocean research and technology experts, Eye 1 can travel at 127 mph underwater and dive to the deepest parts of the world’s oceans. Eye of the Hurricane 1 takes The Hunt For Red October to the next level with an epic undersea ride that will have you glued to the edge of your seat. Plus the greatest deep ocean romance of all time.
Eye of the Hurricane 1 took me four years to write and I almost gave up multiple times. If this
book sells enough, I will write another book entitled ‘Wildfire’, describing my vision of how wildfires
will be fought in 40 or 50 years. I am a former wildland firefighter.
