His Son’s Ex by K.C. Crowne

About Featured Book: His Son’s Ex by K.C. Crowne

Crashing my ex’s wedding was for closure…
Until his plastic bride called me fat in front of everyone.
Three hundred witnesses. Dead silence.
That’s when the Mafia king put her in her place.

Dante Bellacino.
Devil in an Armani suit.
My ex’s father.

He shuts her up with a single look.
“Apologize,” he growls.
Then turns to me like I’m the last sin he’ll ever commit.
“You’re staying.”

I should run.
But fate traps us in an elevator between floors—
And that’s where I get my first taste of sweet submission.

Now I’m working for him.
Trapped in his world.
His rules.
My ruin.

Because the man who owns my body…
Who touches me like I’ll break,
And ruins me like I won’t…
Might be the one behind a murder that shattered my world.

And falling for him?
Might be my deadliest mistake.

About Featured Book: Shine a Light by Nicky Corcoran

My book ‘Shine a Light’ is an updated version
(Updated in May 2025).

The paperback is written in English and is priced at £5.50.
It is also available in kindle unlimited for free.

‘Shine A Light’ puts a spotlight on
real-life experiences. This inspirational book
of twenty-seven poems (one of which is a four-
part poem called ‘Summer Holiday’).
All poems talk about life-experiences, some of
which are personal to the Author herself, from
growing up in the 1960’s right through to recent
times. The Author covers many a subject such
as hormonal changes, bullying and hate-
crimes, sexual orientation, sexism, child abuse,
mental health, religion.and relevant issues in
the world.
The Author also talks about love, compassion,
happiness, education, holidays and coming
together to care and share our problems, and to keep optimism in your heart and soul.
One thing that is clear is that the
Author gives her encouragement and can
relate herself and her own life experiences
to those of her readers. She understands
that sometimes life can be cruel and
unpredictable, and the pressures can
become overwhelming at times (just like a
rollercoaster ride – one minute up, the next
minute down).
The Author wants us to develop a certain
mindset to prepare ourselves for the challenges that life can throw our way, to come together, join hands and learn from our mistakes, reflect and improve our lives and for future generations. Together we can stamp out greed, selfishness, and hate!!
The poems in this book will leave you, the
reader with mixed emotions. Some may make
you laugh; some may make you sad and may
bring a tear to your eye!
ALWAYS REMEMBER, NEVER GIVE UP HOPE
Have you developed the skills and the strength of mind to survive, to become a good role-model for generations to

Sutherland’s Crossing – A Beau Crenshaw Detective Novel by Gwen Kelly

The swamp rarely reveals its secrets, but today, June 21,1995, a car was found.

A missing woman is now lost forever.

The cause of death eerily similar to Mary, a nurse who was brutally murdered years earlier.

Her killer never found.

Detective Beau Crenshaw must break the news to the young woman’s parents. His own memories of Mary’s death resurface as old wounds are reopened and the past comes back to haunt him.

As Beau delves deeper into the investigation, he realizes there may be a connection between this case and Mary’s murder.

Is this just a coincidence or is a serial killer striking again?

In Charleston, South Carolina, where families will do anything to protect their dark secrets, Beau must navigate a web of lies and deceit to uncover the truth.

This elevated edge-of-your-seat thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. With a Southern drawl and a twisted plot, you won’t be able to put it down.

Special Bonus: All proceeds from this book will be donated to Georgia SPOT Society for spay and neuter.

If you loved “Gone Girl” or “The Girl on the Train”, then you’ll love this dark crime drama.

Featured Interview With Joakim Lloyd Raboff

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’m a Swedish-American writer and visual storyteller. I was raised in Los Angeles but have lived in Sweden for many years — currently based in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city and close to Copenhagen. I’ve authored over 25 books, including documentary-style projects, travelogues, and humorous explorations like Phobias & Fears and The Aging Man’s Survival Guide.

While I don’t have any pets at the moment, I have had three dogs and one cat. I am a lifelong animal lover and spent a few years of my childhood on a farm in rural Sweden.

I’ve worked as a stand-in for Bruce Willis (Moonlighting) and on several other shows in the 1980s, which is in part why I became so inspired by storytelling.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
Like most kids born in the 1960s, I started reading books series like Cat in the Hat. I wrote my first short story when I was 12 or 13 and after High School, I studied journalism. So, I’ve been writing for most of my life.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Here are some of my favorite authors. It’s a mixed bag, and I love switching genres.

Stephen King – I admire how King turns everyday situations into psychological minefields, making fear feel both intimate and inevitable.

Toni Morrison – Her language is like poetry wrapped in power — every sentence feels earned and unforgettable.

Frederick Forsyth – His precision and research-driven storytelling taught me the value of detail when crafting suspense and realism.

Isaac Asimov – Asimov’s ability to make vast, abstract ideas accessible continues to influence how I approach complex topics.

Douglas Adams – His mix of cosmic absurdity and razor-sharp satire reminds me to never take the universe — or myself — too seriously.

Haruki Murakami – Murakami’s surreal logic and emotional distance pull me into a world that feels like memory and dream at once.

Margaret Atwood – She balances dystopian terror with dry wit in a way that makes even the bleakest futures feel grippingly human.

George Orwell – Orwell’s clarity and moral urgency have shaped how I think about truth, power, and the weight of words.

Virginia Woolf – Woolf’s interior monologues taught me that introspection can be just as dramatic as action.

Agatha Christie – I love how she mastered misdirection — making you feel clever just before revealing you’ve missed everything.

Ernest Hemingway – His brutal simplicity and emotional restraint remind me how much power there is in what’s not said.

Gabriel García Márquez – His lush, layered prose feels like reading myth and history all at once — utterly transportive.

J.K. Rowling – She built a universe that’s both wildly imaginative and grounded in deeply relatable emotional truths.

Ray Bradbury – Bradbury’s nostalgic yet cautionary tone hits that rare nerve between wonder and warning.

Neil Gaiman – He seamlessly weaves myth, fantasy, and melancholy into stories that feel ancient and freshly imagined.

Salman Rushdie – Rushdie’s fearless language and mythological density always challenge me to think bigger and write bolder.

Kurt Vonnegut – His tragicomic tone is a reminder that absurdity and sorrow are often intertwined — and inseparable.

Leo Tolstoy – Reading Tolstoy feels like standing in front of a vast, emotional fresco of humanity at its most raw and complex.

Franz Kafka – Kafka’s bleak surrealism mirrors the anxiety of modern life in ways that still feel disturbingly accurate.

Joan Didion – Her cool detachment and incisive voice have influenced how I observe, distill, and dissect the world around me.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
Phobias & Fears started as a curiosity — and maybe, if I’m honest, as a bit of self-therapy. I began noticing how many people close to me had very specific fears. Some were classic, like spiders or flying. Others were more unusual — elevators, holes, even birds. The more I talked to friends and family, the clearer it became: fear is everywhere, and it doesn’t always make sense. And strangely, a lot of these phobias seemed to grow stronger with age.

So I decided to dig into it.

This book is a mix of things: part research, part observation, part storytelling. I explore how phobias develop, what’s happening in the brain when fear kicks in, and why certain anxieties latch onto us and refuse to let go. I also look at how fears evolve over time, how culture and upbringing influence what we’re afraid of, and even how animals experience fear.

But it’s not a clinical guide, and it’s definitely not a self-help manual. It’s more like a conversation — the kind you might have with a friend over coffee (or maybe something stronger if you’ve just had a run-in with a clown or a long-haul flight).

I wrote Phobias & Fears because I think it’s important to understand why we feel the way we do, especially when those feelings seem irrational. I hope readers will come away feeling a little more informed, a little less alone, and maybe even a bit amused. Because once you realize how common (and often bizarre) our fears are, they start to feel a lot less scary.

And if nothing else, you’ll learn to keep an eye out for ducks. Just in case.

Featured Interview With JOHN DONKEYPLONK

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I live in the UK. I was born and raised in the London area but now live further north, in Sheffield, and I love it there. I have done a whole variety of jobs in my time, but the main one was 25 years in the UK civil service. I retired last autumn, but did do a comeback gig as a Father Christmas in a shopping centre for a couple of months!
I have two sons who live in London, and a stepdaughter who is at University in Leicester, but no pets.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was always a keen reader, right from the age of about 7 or so, I used to like adventure stories, but as a teenager, moved on to SF.
As a civil servant, I did enormous amounts of writing – official reports, guidance, briefing for Ministers, the lot. At that stage I had a couple of ideas for books but I never got round to doing anything about it, because I had a ready outlet for my need to write. It was not until I stopped doing that job that I realised how important writing was to me. I was asked to edit a book about Ugandan politics and that whetted my appetite. I started to write in earnest two years ago.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Jasper Fforde. He does what I am trying to do – introduce the absurd into the everyday and see how the everyday copes with it. I like his quirkiness, but you can find quirkiness where you least expect it, it doesn’t have to be futuristic or surreal. I recently read “The Sisters Brothers” by Patrick de Witt, which I would describe as a quirky Western; and loved it! So I have more of a favourite feel than a favourite genre.
I have read widely and I like to think that all the good stuff has inspired me to a degree at least.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
The book that I have just released on Amazon is called “Prepare for the Zargian Delegation!” It is a satirical romp through the public service mindset, in which I use the impending arrival of a delegation from the Planet Zarg to poke fun at the gimmickry, pretentiousness and back-biting of the diverse group of public servants who are asked to draw up preparation plans. Whilst set in the UK I think it will appeal to anyone with a quirky or irreverent sense of humour, but perhaps in particular to current or former public servants, or anyone who has experienced the “groupthink” of a large corporation, I ran an early version past some ex-colleagues of mine and they found it both hilarious and alarmingly accurate!
It was quite quick to write, because I didn’t really have to do any research – it all came from my memory or my imagination. I suppose it took me about six months to write and six months to edit and publish.

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I grew up in Beirut—so storytelling came naturally. I now live with two mischievous kittens who think they’re dragons. Luke and Lea, except they’re not twins.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was five when I started reading, but even at three, I’d scribble nonsense and pretend I was writing a book.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I’ve always loved fantasy. GRR Martin, Neil Gaiman (controversy aside), J.K. Rowling, Diana Gabaldon, Cassandra Clare, and Suzanne Collins are some of my favorites. GRRM probably inspires me the most—with the sheer scope of what he was building (until D&D butchered it). That’s actually why I wrote a fanfiction retelling of Season 7—it’s up on Wattpad under my name!

Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is The Crimson Crown, the epic finale of The Chosen and the Cursed series. It’s where everything comes full circle—magic, prophecy, betrayal, and love. Clara must finally face the monster within… and the one she might love. If you’re new to the series, start with The Jade Necklace, the Amazon bestseller that began it all.

Seducing the Basketball Star by Jordan Church

A wealthy heiress has recruited female athletes and female support staff to start a new women’s sport. She arranges them into two teams; The Angels and The Ugly Ducklings. Half of the sixteen women are lovely beauties and the other half… are not. They are required to live in a small domed stadium for a year while working out the kinks in the new sport. But is the wealthy heiress actually out to start a new sport? She and her “uglies” seem more interested in working their kinks on the beauties than they do working out kinks in the new sport!
The lovely Japanese table tennis champion escapes the literal clutches of Coach Jimena, but for how long? They live in the same house and Minato does not want to tell anyone what Jimena did to her or how passionately she reacted to it. Minato feels ill from what they did and from what Jimena made her eat. But she is still turned on.
Minato’s seduction and domination are only slightly delayed as Jimena has a back-up plan and an ally in the insidious domme nerd, Ayla. Poor Minato is doomed to experience many more orgasms! No rest for the wicked black domme and no rest for the innocent athlete.
Natalie, the basketball star, and Alexa, the soccer star, have ongoing suspicions about the things going on around them. They go on a scouting mission – okay, a peeping mission – to the other team’s homes unaware that they could have seen plenty of lesbian domination had they sneaked looks through the windows of their own teammates.
What Natalie and Alexa see is intense and has a shocking effect on them. How can lesbian sex turn on heterosexual women like them? How can seeing their friends treated like sex slaves be so arousing when they value and respect independence and free will?
Natalie and Alexa see naughty things and then start doing naughty things so unlike themselves. They have to go back the next night, oblivious that one of them is next on the target list.
Can Natalie’s butch roommate, Frankie, turn Natalie, the tall and confident basketball star, into a sexy and obedient submissive?
Graphic sex, adult content, BDSM, unusual sex, group sex, domination and submission.

How to Hotwire an Airplane

About How to Hotwire an Airplane:

5.0 out of 5 stars Strap in for a gritty, white-knuckle flight of your life!
Reviewed in the United States on June 6, 2025
Jump into the cockpit of a shaky Cessna 172 and strap in for a gritty, white-knuckle flight with Hiram Bleeker, a Vietnam War veteran pilot, as he navigates treacherous West Texas landscapes and moral predicaments. For years, Hiram has sought to bury his wartime past by flying dog rescue missions in which he encounters shady clients in the most isolated, desert locations in places not big enough to call a town. However, an unexpected encounter pushes him into the dangerous world of smuggling immigrants across the Texas border into the United States and evading high-tech Border Patrol agents. A romantic interlude with a mysterious woman complicates Hiram’s life, as she always seems to be two steps ahead of him.

In How to Hot Wire an Airplane, retired Navy submarine Commander and experienced pilot, Henry Rausch has written an aviation political thriller that is not only fast paced, but edgy and believable. This adventure is full of plot twists and course turns, not unlike flying through turbulent weather that pitches your stomach into your mouth. You won’t be reading another typical cliched airplane story set in a fighter jet chasing bogies at Mach 2 or a commercial passenger jet hijacked by wild-eyed terrorists over the ocean. Instead, Rausch sets this novel in a beat-up plane, held together by duct tape and coat hangers, and tells it with a certain authenticity that only an author skilled with planes in challenging conditions could describe.

I enjoy how the author brings out the danger and excitement of flights below the radar in planes most readers would never dare enter. Rausch’s care and skill in telling this story matches how Tom Clancy’s novels make both the technology of flying and the humanity of the characters approachable. Readers will want to turn the pages as fast as the propellor spins to see how Hiram either evades a relentless Border Patrol or fixes another failing part of his plane in the service of his clients. In that regard, both his dog and immigrant passengers share one quality: the desire to escape to a safer home and life.

Without divulging any of the satisfying plot twists — including a harrowing evasion of the authorities — I can report, after having read it twice, that the novel unspools smoothly and how easily it reads. Readers will appreciate how well researched this story is, the clear storyline, and the immersive descriptions of the Texas landscapes. It doesn’t get bogged down with too much commentary about the current state of our politics. But rather, it shows the importance of how helping others can lead to self-healing and redemption.

“How to Hotwire an Airplane” Kindle edition is normally $4.99 but is offered for free on 6/28 and 6/29.

Wolves Among Us: Biblical Principles To Identify And Expose Spiritual Predators by Linda Reyburn Shirey

Abusers like to hide in plain sight, especially in churches. They pick out the vulnerable and weak, and try to exploit them. “Wolves Among Us” outlines some ways to understand the motivations and drive of abusers who target churches. I’m hopeful that it will spark some interest in spiritual self-defense and social change, which is badly needed.

If you’ve always wondered whether or not you’re allowed to call them out for bad behavior and manipulative techniques- this book offers practical guidelines and Biblical support to say, “Yes, you can.”

Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruit.” Belief is half the battle.

151 Fun Things To Do In Retirement: Exciting Hobbies, Adventures, and Cool Bucket List Ideas to Make Retirement Your Best Chapter Yet by Veronica Goldspiel

Retirement Shouldn’t Feel Like a Slow March to the Couch!
For years, you’ve dreamed of retirement—sleeping in, no meetings, and all the time in the world to do… whatever you want.

But now that you’re here, there’s a tiny problem no one warned you about…

Boredom.

At first, it’s all Netflix and naps. Then one day, you find yourself watching a squirrel outside for way too long and you realize the highlight of your week has been deciding between pancakes and waffles. That’s when it really hits you: You need a plan.

Boredom isn’t just annoying – it’s actually bad for your health. Studies show that early retirees often have shorter lifespans—not because they retired, but because they lost their sense of purpose. And trust me, “seeing how long I can sit still before the cat gets concerned” is not a purpose.

But don’t panic! This book is here to rescue you from retirement boredom before it’s too late.
Whether you’re already embracing retirement life or just starting to dream about it, 151 Fun Things to Do in Retirement is your ultimate guide to making sure your golden years aren’t just a never-ending loop of daytime TV and wondering what day it is.

Inside, you’ll discover:

✅ Travel & Adventure Ideas – Go beyond your backyard and explore the world (or at least a new coffee shop).
✅ Creative Hobbies & Activities – Finally learn to paint, knit, or play guitar… or just prove once and for all that you have no artistic talent whatsoever.
✅ Social Shenanigans & Community Fun – Make new friends before you start responding to telemarketers just for the conversation.
✅ Side Hustles to Make Money – Because “retired” doesn’t have to mean “broke.”
✅ Health & Fitness Without the Boredom – Stay active in ways that don’t make you feel like you’re being chased by an angry gym coach.
✅ Bucket List Goals – Because “I wrote a book” sounds way cooler than “I organized the sock drawer… again.”
✅ Volunteering & Giving Back – Do something meaningful and give yourself a reason to put on real pants.

Featured Interview With Leland P Gamson

Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Growing up three miles outside of Washington, DC, I had a Huck Finn childhood with access to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. community land preserves, state parks, and the Potomac River. I was also a bus ride away from the wonders of our nation’s capital. I made frequent use of the library, making friends with Winnie-the-Pooh, Homer Price, and Snuffy the Tugboat. I was an Eagle Scout and began writing at a young age.
After completing an MSW from Catholic University, I moved to Marion, Indiana, to work at the VA as a caseworker and therapist. I enjoyed the challenge of the variety of assignments, including working in substance abuse, psychiatric admissions, as a homeless veteran coordinator, and running the residential care program.
Receiving a direct commission with the USAR, I pursued a parallel career, working in both a combat stress unit and a medical hospital unit. I retired as a light colonel and later served as a battalion commander with the Indiana Guard Reserve.
I wrote for the Wesleyan Church’s Sunday School curriculum for several years. Since retiring, I have focused on writing stories for young folks. I also do Bible characters and am involved in jail ministry. My LOKAEL: THE DONKEY WHO CARRIED JESUS was an Amazon Best Seller.

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I do not remember ever not being fascinated with books and loving to both hear and tell a good story.

Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
C.S. Lewis, George McDonald, Garrison Keeler, Isaac B Singer, Mark Twain, George Orwell, Gertrude Compton, Aesop, to name a few favorites. I enjoy reading children’s books as my inner child is very much alive. I also enjoy Christian apologetics and the Bible.

Tell us a little about your latest book?
MALGRIM JOINS A GANG
