Author Bio:
Kiran Dellimore, is a Barbadian writer with deep Trinidadian (from his mother) and Vincentian (from his father) roots, who proudly celebrates and honours his rich Afro-Indo-Caribbean heritage in each narrative. A resident of the beautiful Dutch city of Utrecht, he fuses his impressive academic and professional career in engineering with a profound literary passion. His stories vibrate with the precision of an engineer and the curiosity of a scientist, infused with the rhythmic poetry of the Caribbean. His literary works include “Squash Diary” (2010), “Walking in Footsteps of Promise” (2019), and “Fresh Ereba” (2020). In June 2024, he published his debut historical fiction novel, “Children of the Ocean God,” currently being translated into Spanish as “Hijos del Dios del Mar.” His sophomore children’s fiction book, “Ning Ning,” was released in September 2025. Kiran is an avid runner, squash player, climber, and voracious reader in tune with new literary voices and his audience, who loves exploring new cultures and cuisines.
