Courtney Sexton grew up in an area known for their rich, fried food. She knows first hand how difficult it can be to get children to eat their fruits and vegetables. As she furthered her education, she saw the gap in her own understanding of healthy eating. Courtney made it her mission to help others learn more and wanted to do so in a context she was familiar: reading. In Your Tummy was written as a tool to help families emphasize the importance of healthy eating with their children. Courtney graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and is currently enrolled in a graduate nursing program. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and cuddling up with a good book.
