He is currently hunkered down in Cambodia during the CoViD-19 Pandemic after serving most of the past eight years as an English Teacher with children and young adults from poor families living in the rural and mountainous areas of Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos.
Mr. Hunter graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, United States majoring in Political Science, minoring in History and Sociology and focusing his studies in Gerontology. After moving to the Southwest, he completed the requirements for a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the Tempe Campus of Arizona State University and has spent much of his time working with children and adults with life-threatening illnesses, including cancer and hemophilia.
Mr. Hunter’s diverse background includes counseling, hospice care, homelessness, human rights advocacy, HIV education and testing, publishing bilingual books, and teaching in Indiana, Arizona, California, Hawai’i, and Southeast Asia. Kim has a passion for expressing his voice through the writing of children’s books and poetry.
