Featured Interview With Zalman S. Davis
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Zalman S. Davis, born in The Mother City, Cape Town in South Africa is a freelance journalist, poet, playwright and author. He has published three volumes of Afrikaans poetry, one novel, one novella and has written one stage play. A next novel is soon to be released.
When not reading or writing, Zalman is meeting new people, doing research for a new book or drink a good cup of coffee.
Zalman resides in Vereeniging, South Africa with his partner and their three Yorkies.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started writing when I was about sixteen-years-old. I had found that writing was a way for me to escape from reality into a world I invisioned to be better.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite author is John Grisham. He has a unique, yet fast-paced way of writing. From the start to the end, you cannot stop reading!
I love crime fiction. This is also what I love to write most, other than romance and poetry or stage plays.
John Grisham inspires me in so many ways. If not him, then it is newspaper articles or something I watch on TV.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book, The Mystery of the White Rose Serial Killer, is published by Publication Consultants in Alaska. It is a crime fiction novel based on problems in South Africa like corruption, organ harvesting etc.
