Featured Interview With Victoria Jayne
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I grew on the Jersey Shore. It was nothing like the television show. Though I did work on the boardwalk through college and they were some of the best memories I have. Currently, I still live in New Jersey, just closer to Philadelphia. I live with my amazing husband and two beautiful daughters.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I started reading for pleasure in middle school, around the age of 11 or 12. I had an excellent “Language Arts” teacher. She introduced me to S.E. Hinton and Edgar Allen Poe. Upon further exploration, I stumbled upon R.L Stein and I was a big fan of the “Fear Street” series.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love romance. I am an avid reader of paranormal romance and contemporary romance. I enjoy the alpha male trope, so Motorcycle club romances really rev my engine (pun intended). I shout the names of my favorite authors from the rooftops often: Anne Rice, Madeline Sheehan, Suzanne Wright, J.D. Tyler, Joanna Wylde, Cherise Sinclair, Dianne Duvall, and Elisabeth Naughton
Tell us a little about your latest book?
It’s my debut novel! I am beyond ecstatic to share it with the world. I began writing it for NaNoWriMo 2017 and loved the way it progressed through the edits. It’s the first book of a trilogy that focuses on three main characters: Divina, a witch; Aric, a wolf shifter; and Rori, a vampire. The three are linked together by a prophecy dictating who shall become the emperor of the vampires in their territory. The problem lies in the fact that Divina’s had it with the prophecy. Aric doesn’t care about it, and Rori is undecided.
