Featured Interview With Teresa Keefer
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I’m a life-long Hoosier and I presently live in rural north east Indiana. I have a menagerie of pets…a spoiled dog, 2 cats, a miniature horse, 2 goats and 4 chickens.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
My dad taught me to read when I was about 4 and I’ve been a bookworm ever since. I started seriously writing around 2000 when I was encouraged by a special friend. He gifted me with a copy of Stephen King’s autobiography and a Writer’s Digest for my birthday that year and has continued to encourage me to this day.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I read a lot of different things so I can’t say I have too many favorites…but I do love Nora Roberts and after hearing her speak at a conference in San Antonio a few years ago I admired her even more for her candid and bold persona.
I love romance… paranormal, contemporary and Western…and I get my inspiration for my stories from just about everything whether it’s a song or a phrase or a place.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest release is One Magick Yule and it was my 2018 NANOWRIMO project written in less than 30 days.
A solitary mystery writer has a secret of being a witch who talks to animals…and they talk back. When a mysterious new neighbor moves into the abandoned farm across the field from her, she has to be careful not to expose her Magick. But two meddlesome dogs and a Christmas Eve snowstorm changes everything for her.
