Featured Interview With Stenetta Anthony
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Stenetta Anthony and I am a former educator who was raised in Chicago where I continue to reside. Currently, I have no pets. After the loss of my pet name Chip, it has been difficult for me to adopt another animal.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
When I consider this question, most of my life I have had a fascination with books. Throughout my life, I have always enjoyed a good or sometimes not so good book. My official writing career began at the ripe young age of 50.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors are Maya Angelou, John Maxwell. I have a wide variety of genre of books which I read so no particular preference. It can range from children to romance. If I think it is a good book it is included in my reading catalog. The inspiration for writings derives from people watching. Observing individuals during their daily tasks often promotes me to write.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
Sally’s story of longing to be adopted that began when she was placed in a kennel permanently. “A Home for Sally” the story of a young poodle who considers she is unlovable and unadoptable because of her disability. Sally believed that her dream of once again having a “forever home” may never come true.”
A Home for Sally was recently nominated for two awards. It is in the running for 2019 People’s Choice and Author Academy Awards.
