Featured Interview With Regina Clarinda
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I was raised in a faith-filled environment in Indonesia, which inspired my love for devotional writing and reflection. I still live in Indonesia, where I spend my days writing, reflecting, and working on new devotional projects. I don’t have any pets right now, but I love quiet moments with a warm cup of coffee and a good book by my side.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I realized my fascination with books when I was just four years old, after my dad subscribed me to Donald Duck magazines. I remember being completely captivated by the stories and illustrations, it felt like discovering a whole new world.
I started writing when I was around fifteen. What began as a simple love for stories slowly grew into a deeper desire to express faith, reflection, and encouragement through words. Writing has been part of my journey ever since.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I love reading inspirational books that lift the heart, but I also enjoy mystery and thriller novels—it’s a fun mix of faith and suspense! 😄 My favorite authors include Joel Osteen and Sarah Young, who inspire me to make faith approachable and comforting.
In my own writing, I’m inspired by everyday life, the Bible, and other devotional writers who show that even small reflections and prayers can have a big impact. Somehow, I like balancing quiet spiritual moments with a little thrill from a good mystery!
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book is Held by His Love: A Christian Devotional for the Weary Heart Seeking Faith, Healing, and Hope. It’s a collection of over 200 reflections, poems, and meditative writings designed to bring comfort, encouragement, and spiritual clarity to daily life. The goal of this devotional is to help readers pause, reflect, and feel God’s gentle presence, especially during times of weariness or uncertainty.
