Featured Interview With Priy Yuvraj
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am Priy Yuvraj (born Yuvraj Singh), a non-fiction author, and the founder of the a NGO, dedicated to inclusive growth and awareness. Raised in Rajasthan, India. I continue to live and work here, balancing my organizational leadership with higher studies in International Relations. While I don't have any pets, I am a daily practitioner of meditation who draws deep creative and intellectual energy from spending time in nature and engaging in profound philosophical dialogues.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I don't track my life by a specific age when a fascination with books began, as reading has always been a natural extension of my journey. However, my journey with writing formally started at the age of 17, driven by a deep curiosity about political and philosophical thought.
It wasn't a career path I consciously chose, but a vital medium that revealed itself as part of my broader mission to awaken others. That initial spark eventually led to the founding of my NGO and the formal publication of The Infinite Unlearning, allowing me to channel continuous unlearning into public discourse.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Rather than singling out a lone favorite author, I gravitate toward writers who challenge the status quo and explore the depths of human potential. I highly prefer the profound philosophical inquiries of J. Krishnamurti, the purposeful lifestyle perspectives of Francesc Miralles (author of Ikigai), and the sharp, systemic critiques of Arundhati Roy.
My absolute favorite genre to read is Personal Transformation and Self-Help, specifically works that bridge deep self-awareness with practical, real-world application.
When it comes to my own writing, my primary inspiration doesn't come from any single individual or literary figure. Instead, I am inspired by the raw reality of the human condition, the urgent need to dismantle societal illusions, and my overarching mission to cultivate critical thinking and systemic awareness through both my NGO and my books.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
My latest book, The Infinite Unlearning: Awakening the Mind Beyond Belief, co-authored with Ravi Chaudhary, is a journey into deep human awareness and a quiet rebellion against the weight of conditioned thinking.
Rather than teaching you what to think, the book challenges you to examine how thinking itself shapes your reality. It is a guide centered on the power of stripping away borrowed knowledge, rigid social conditioning, and structural illusions to rediscover the absolute simplicity of being.
Spanning nine transformative chapters, the book moves seamlessly through the architecture of the mind -beginning with The Illusion of Knowing and The Burden of Conditioning, before guiding the reader through the courage to doubt and finally arriving at The Empty Space of Awareness and The Serenity of Truth. Ultimately, it is not a book of rigid answers, but an invitation to step away from the comfort of certainty and cultivate a genuinely free, clear, and compassionate mind
