Featured Interview With Keilah Jude
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Keilah (pronounced key-luh) Jude. I'm from the Chicago area and I belong to the BEST book community. I am a book content creator and enjoy making silly videos about books where I rant (and sometimes cry!). I work as an actor and I recently did a commercial for ALDI and I acted in the Horse Camp series on Amazon Prime. I have a degree from UC in English literature with a minor in creative writing. I have a master's degree from Wheaton College in my favorite book, which is the Bible. I'd be glad to connect with you on social media!

At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
In fifth grade, we were supposed to write stories for the first time as a class assignment (a maximum of three paragraphs). Something lit up in my brain as I wrote, and I ended up writing about eight pages worth of a story, front and back. My teacher was kind and embraced my love for writing, and she allowed me to read my story from the podium. My classmates were also kind and cheered me on. I fell in love with writing stories, and continued writing them since then. I wrote my first novel at age 15, by hand. I've made my family and friends read my stories for years! They deserve a trophy. Many of them were terrible.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I am obsessed with romantasy, fantasy, and romance. I dabble in thriller and non-fiction genres such as Christian literature and self-help books. I really enjoy a lot of writers, and one thing about me is I'm all about the plot. I don't care as much about writing styles, but I am a sucker for a good plot; so if a book has a juicy plot then I'm hooked. I enjoy C.S. Lewis, Holly Black, Lauren Roberts, Lynette Noni, J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephanie Garber, Suzanne Collins, Veronica Roth, Becca Kinzer and SO many others!
Tell us a little about your latest book?
THE SNOW QUEEN is about a girl named Noelle who seeks a magical necklace to bring back her only family member. However, Noelle draws dangerous attention to herself by doing so, including the attention of the rumored villain–the Snow Queen. When Noelle learns that she is the heir to the snowy throne, she realizes she must compete in a deadly duel called The Heirling Duel, where she will fight until one heir falls. Her handsome opponent, Prince Eli, is somebody she is forbidden to love, yet she can’t help falling for. Noelle must choose between saving herself, Eli, her friends, or saving her people.
