Featured Interview With Ingal rahim
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
I am Ingal Rahim , a published independent author raised and currently living in the dynamic city of Dubai, UAE. My storytelling journey began in my school years, where I filled notebooks with the early ideas for the psychological thrillers and science fiction stories I publish today.
I am the author of The Mind’s Edge, and Code 67 and etc. I believe that professional discipline and a bold vision are the keys to success, and I am currently dedicated to my most ambitious creative project yet. While I do not have any pets, I put my full focus into my writing and my professional life here in Dubai.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I realized my fascination with books at a very young age during my school years in Dubai. While I have been developing ideas in my notebooks for a long time, I officially launched my professional journey as a published author in 2025. Starting this career while I am still young allows me to bring a fresh and modern energy to my psychological thrillers and science fiction stories. I have been dedicated to turning those early inspirations into the published works I share with my readers today.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
I enjoy reading authors who master the art of suspense and deep psychological exploration. I have always been drawn to writers who can create a complex 'labyrinth' within their stories, challenging the reader's perception of reality. My favorite genres to read are psychological thrillers and science fiction. I am fascinated by stories that explore the mysteries of the human mind and the future of technology, which is why I chose to write in these genres myself.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
The inspiration for my latest book, The Locked Room, came to me in a very sudden and haunting way. It was the middle of the night here in Dubai; I woke up to get a drink of water, and as I passed a mirror, I caught a glimpse of my own reflection.
That single, quiet moment stayed with me as I went back to bed. As I drifted off to sleep again, the entire vision for the story—the mystery, the tension, and the concept of being trapped—just appeared in my heart. It was a powerful reminder of how the most ordinary moments can spark the most intense psychological thrillers.
