Featured Interview With Hope Redgrave
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
Hi, I’m Hope Redgrave! A 23 year old Indie author juggling through engineering and building a fantasy world of my own. I was raised in very small country called Bangladesh. It’s a small country with many beautiful places to visit. That’s where I still live now. I used to have a pet rabbit, named Athens. He died a few years back which made me very upset.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was around 16-17. I was a huge fan of this Indian boy band called SANAM. And I was obsessed with their guitarist. That’s kind of when I started writing one-shot fanfictions, Instagram post fanfictions. That’s basically when it all began. I started to realize I have a thing for imagination. The fascination with book came during COVID. The lock down turned me into an absolute bookworm.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors would be Jennifer L Armentrout, Jeanine Frost, Rina Kent, H.D. Carlton, Arthur Conan Doyle, Osamu Dazai and Fyodor Dostoevsky. I enjoy all sorts of Genre. Fantasy, Dark Romance, Young Adult, New adult, spicy, adventure, Detective, Thriller, Horror. I love everything with a good twist and capability to overwhelm me. That’s also the inspiration behind my writing. I like the feeling of overwhelming emotions and that’s what I like to portray in my books. Along with other stuff like psychological issues, societal issues, etc.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book would be the one I’m currently working on. DESIRE. It’s the second installment from the Destiny Series and the sequel to Obsession. It’s a monstrocity of around 90k+ words which took me around six months to write. This book explores the role of a princess and her knight in politics in a kingdom that’s clearly at advantage. The characters are deep, Nix and Wrath. They’re the reincarnation of Aveoth and Raizel from the first book. I did my level best to portray a badass princess who can, on one hand, handle war and on another hand, fall in love. The other side of the coin is the knight, Wrath, who bounces between his duty to protect the princess and his feelings for her in the midst of an upcoming war. I think the readers will enjoy this book more than they enjoyed OBSESSION.
