DREAM OF A MURDER by V.C. Williams
A retired couple sets off on the cruise they’ve always dreamed of—a journey around the world. Just as they settle into the excursions, the amazing food, and the lazy days at sea, Rob sees something terrifying: their neighbor is thrown overboard in the middle of the night.
Shaken but determined, Rob and Kris team up with the ship’s uneasy security captain and a cheerful couple who always seem to appear at the most unexpected moments. When a friend is attacked in Cadiz, Rob and Kris become convinced the two incidents are tied to a drug smuggling ring.
Between visits to exotic ports, Kris works to decode a mysterious cipher that may unlock the truth. But everything changes when Rob is kidnapped in Jerusalem, and Kris uncovers criminal plans in Greece. Their once perfect vacation quickly becomes a fight for their lives.

A second-generation Arizonan with a background in management, V.C. Williams comes from a pioneer heritage where strong women stood shoulder to shoulder with their men in Texas and Arizona, handling challenges like killing a rattlesnake as effortlessly as baking a pie. Inspired by these women and many others V.C. encountered, she believes everyone has a story worth telling. Whether writing historical fiction, cozy mysteries, or YA time travel, each story is a journey of discovery, proving that a woman’s intelligence, unwavering devotion, and determination are worth “far more than rubies.”
V.C. Williams’s work has garnered excellent reviews from Kirkus and the Historical Fiction Co., and was honored with an Honorable Mention at the Paris Book Awards. She was also a finalist in the 2023 American Writing Awards. Her books have received attention in prominent publications such as True West and Western Writers Roundup magazines.
