Dream Loop The Awakening by Emiliano Poloni

About Dream Loop The Awakening by Emiliano Poloni:

Jo awakens trapped in traffic on a suspended bridge in the Italian mountains in August. He doesn’t remember how he got there, yet something about the landscape feels hauntingly familiar. An encounter with a disturbing bald man bearing a zero drawn on his forehead pulls him into an irreversible spiral: the Dream Loop, a simulated reality where the crew of the Key York — a massive starship launched twenty-five years earlier toward the outer reaches of the solar system — remain unknowingly imprisoned.
Jo soon discovers he is a clone: a three-hundred-year-old consciousness uploaded during an experiment while he was still on vacation with his family. The other crew members are recent copies; their originals may still be alive somewhere on Earth or on the Moon. Aboard the ship, the central AI has fallen silent, the designated commander is unstable, and an autonomous intelligence born from the ship’s archived literature — Amon — is searching for a human body to escape the simulation.
Clones, artificial intelligence, alien spores, sentient machines, implanted memories, and fractured identities intertwine in a story that explores origin, free will, and the possibility of rebirth.
Dream Loop is a psychological, ensemble-driven science fiction novel that weaves consciousness, bioethics, trauma, and simulated reality into an intense, visionary narrative filled with unexpected twists.

Author Bio:

Emiliano Poloni was born in a small town in northern Italy in the 1970s. At fifteen, he left home to attend a technical aeronautical boarding school. At nineteen, he joined the Italian Air Force, where he served for twelve years as a military transport pilot flying the C-130 on missions around the world — from Afghanistan to Canada, from Australia to the Middle East.

After leaving the military, he joined Air Dolomiti, an Italian airline owned by the Lufthansa Group. A decade later, he became part of the Qatar Airways family. He is currently an Airbus A380 pilot and lives in Qatar with his wife Daniela, their two teenage children, Maria and Matteo — and five cats.

A lifelong reader, Emiliano began writing fiction nearly twenty years ago. After early attempts in science fiction and fantasy, he chose to approach storytelling with a professional mindset. Every manuscript now undergoes editing, proofreading, formatting, translation, and structured marketing.

He is the founder of EPStories, a narrative universe and publishing brand under which he releases his work.
Dream Loop – The Awakening marks the first official chapter of this new journey, with further stories already in development.
