Amy Leighton has always been a sensible, confident woman. That is, until her thirty-fourth birthday approaches, engulfing her in doubt and insecurity. With a nagging mother and a happily-married, pregnant best friend, Amy grows increasingly anxious about finding her soul-mate.
Then, as though fate steps in to offer guidance, she discovers that her incredibly handsome new coworker, Grant, is single. But fate can be cruel. Grant is six years younger and seems hopelessly out of her league. Despite lingering doubts, Amy dares to believe that she might have a chance at capturing Grant’s attention. But Valerye, the flirtatious, young blonde receptionist with the perfect body, thinks otherwise.
Realizing that Amy might interfere with her own plans of conquering Grant’s heart, Valerye warns her that she would be foolish to try and pursue Grant since she is way too old for him.
“Why would he want you when he could have me?…I’m your yesterday and you’re my tomorrow.”
At first she succeeds in shattering Amy’s remaining self-confidence. But the more Valerye viciously preys on her insecurities, the more it strengthens Amy’s resolve until she agrees to accept the challenge: Yesterday vs. Tomorrow, in a bitter fight for Grant’s affection.
Only some battles are never meant to be fought….

I am a mother, wife and attorney from Long Island, New York. I love being a wife and mother…but an attorney? What was I thinking going to law school?!? It truly is my one regret. I wish I’d spent all that time and energy writing books instead of legal briefs and memoranda of law.
However, I’ve discovered that it’s never too late to pursue your life’s passion and true calling. I’ve been having fun making up for lost time. So far, I’ve written five full-length novels. My first book, “Mother,” is a young adult novel about a volatile mother/daughter relationship. It’s an emotional roller-coaster ride that explores the self-destructive behaviors of a dysfunctional single-parent family.
My “Hillary” trilogy is a lot darker. It is a deeply disturbing series that contains intense scenes of graphic violence, gore and subject matter that many find offensive. Please heed my warnings!
I have two short stories, “Christmas Shopping,” and “Crazy Old Lady,” (which appears in the extreme horror anthology called “Carnage”) and a novella entitled “Omerion.”
I am delighted to announce that I have just completed my first chick lit novel, which will be released on Valentine’s Day. Next up, a long overdue horror novel called “Expulsion” about an abortion gone very wrong. This year, I also intend to release another horror novella, entitled “Love You to Pieces” and a young adult novel about bullying.
No matter what the genre, I think it’s important for everything I write to leave a lasting impression upon readers. I strive to create memorable characters combined with deep and thought-provoking storylines.
If you’ve ever considered writing a book then I urge you to do so, without fear of failure, without fear of what others may think, without any fears whatsoever except the fear of not fulfilling your goals. Just do it. Live your dreams and don’t let anyone ever hold you back.
