SuperKids is a wonderful picture book about finding our own super powers, that motivates us to always look for the good in others.
This book is a Gold medal Moonbeam Awards 2015 winner, got a silver medal at the Independent Publisher Book Awards 2016 and two Golds on the Elit Awards, for best children’s (7 & under) and Best book website.
It’s a book with wonderful illustrations that shows abilities that people with special needs can develop, instead of what they cannot do. It’s a fun book about inclusion, respect, love and no bullying, that highlights the positive, teaching kids to respect diversity and making them feel great about being exactly who they are.
Dare to find and highlight the positive not only in others, but also in yourself. Because we all have weaknesses and abilities that make us unique!

Anya Damiron, author of the GOLD medal Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards 2015 “SuperKids”, was born in Santo Domingo on October 15, 1982. From the start she was a curious girl who dreamed up wonderful things. As an adult, she worked in advertising as a copywriter and on the creative team for several Dominican advertising agencies. It was this that helped Anya discover her love for creating ideas and working with both images and writing.
After her first book, Just, was published in 2005, she began to work on Lucia’Stories, a children’s book collection. Since 2008, she has self-published fourteen picture books and has created more than 25 products to promote the series, resulting in over sixty thousand book sales in the Dominican Republic.
