In 1791 Sugga was born into slavery on Dan Cobweb’s plantation in Mansfield, Louisiana. She was the product of a Negro mother and a White father who she would go on to know as Massa. After spending over two decades on Mr. Cobweb’s plantation, she was sold to Henry Winslow in Houston, Texas. Where she would eventually learn the mental bondage of slavery and the effect that it had on the Negro nation.

Williams is an Urban Romance author signed with Sha Jones Presents; She also writes Historical Fiction novels under her company Storytellers Publication, allowing her to express her passion for African American history while at the same time putting glamour on Urban life. K.A. Williams made her debut in the literary industry back in 2012 at only sixteen-years-old with the release of “The Forbidden Truth” and “Jake and His Seeds” short story trilogy. K.A. Williams has written fourteen books over the span of five years. K.A. Williams is also a Screenplay Writer, adapting her novel “Jake and His Seeds” into a movie with casting set for summer ’18. K.A. Williams resides in Mansfield, Louisiana with her husband and daughter.
