Featured Interview With Crystal Holdipp
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My name is Crystal and I love to write, sing and work in evangelistic and outreach ministry. I was born and raised in the island of Bermuda. I currently live in my home island Bermuda. No, I don’t have any pets these days, but in the past starting from my childhood years and upward, I’ve had fish, turtles, hamsters and parakeet birds.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I realized my fascination with books at the age of 5 years old. In primary school and at home I always loved reading books. They were and still are a source of enjoyment to me. I started writing in my teen years as a form of therapy and as an outlet to express myself. During those times in my teen years, I didn’t see it as a calling or career. Naturally, I would write my expressions down on paper, write poems, write letters to others and kept a spiritual binder/journal of writings.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
My favorite authors to read are Karen Kingsbury, Beth Moore, John Bevere, and Renee Swope. Their writings and ministries have touched me and impacted me much. My favorite genre is spiritual. There is nothing that compares to anything that glorifies God and is used to minister to others. Jesus Christ is my greatest inspiration in why I write and who I write for.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book I have written and that has been published is titled ‘Resilient: Rise Above The Ashes’. Resilient is a book of poems, reflections, prayers, scripture meditations and declarations to empower, educate and inspire those that are facing any kind of difficulty, challenge, or struggle. I’ve worked on this project starting from 2012 up to 2016.
